The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City opened the year following the creation of the Federal Reserve System by congress in 1913. Responsible for influencing the supply of money and credit and regulating and supervising financial institutions, the establishment covers the 10th District of the Federal Reserve, which includes many midwestern states. Their headquarters, located just south of Liberty Memorial, houses around 1,000 employees and The Money Museum, which offers interactive exhibits and tours ABOUT AMERICA'S FINANCIAL SYSTEMS.
